FAQ

Procurement FAQ

Which material and finish routes can be evaluated?

Galvanized low-carbon steel, powder-coated steel and weathering-steel routes may be evaluated for a project. The exact grade, thickness, zinc or coating system, colour and finish sample must be stated in the approved specification and order; the routes are not interchangeable by default.

Which dimensions and quantities are required for an RFQ?

Provide thickness, total height, exposed height, strip length, tolerances, total linear metres, segmentation, installation level and a layout. This page sets no default dimensions; the manufacturable range and quotable specification follow drawing, sample and order review.

Does the weathering-steel route mean a specific Corten brand?

No. This page describes a weathering-steel route available for evaluation and does not make a blanket claim for any specific trademarked steel. State the required grade, mill documentation, initial surface condition and acceptance sample in the RFQ and order.

How are service life and corrosion expectations confirmed?

Service life depends on material, thickness, zinc or coating system, cut edges, drainage, soil, salts and maintenance, so this page makes no universal lifetime or rust-through claim. Submit the installation environment for review of the material route, documents and any available warranty terms.

Can the edging form curves, circles and corners?

Curved runs, circles and corners can be submitted for review. Provide the minimum radius, angles, segment lengths, profile and thickness; the final manufacturable geometry, joint direction and anchoring follow the approved drawing or sample.

How is metal garden edging typically installed?

A typical process includes setting out the line, preparing a trench, shaping and joining sections, positioning stakes, setting the finished level and backfilling. Embedment, stake form and spacing, joint direction and minimum radius must follow the approved configuration and site conditions; the general product is not a structural retaining wall by default.

Is it suitable for driveways, parking areas or retaining applications?

These uses require separate review of expected loads, base construction, profile stiffness, anchoring, drainage and local engineering requirements. The general landscape-edging listing does not imply vehicle-load or retaining suitability.

Can drawings, samples or OEM requirements be reviewed?

Drawings, samples, colour, marking and packing requirements can be submitted for manufacturability review. Custom scope, tooling, sampling, marking, packing, MOQ and lead time are confirmed only after the complete requirement is reviewed; any size is not promised by default.

How are MOQ, packing and lead time confirmed?

They are confirmed after review of the complete configuration, quantity, packing, destination, material, forming, finish and production schedule. This page makes no fixed MOQ or lead-time commitment.

Can material certificates, coating records or inspection reports be supplied?

State the required document, test method and standard edition in the RFQ. Availability and scope must be confirmed for the matching material, process, batch and order; a standard reference or company-system certificate is not product certification.

Need to establish a quotable product configuration?

Submit use, geometry, drawing, BOM, materials, interfaces, site conditions and responsibility scope. No SKU variant, fixed price or lead time is generated before configuration approval.
